A regional healthcare provider is seeking an Imaging Staff Nurse to join their expanding Imaging Department. The role offers the opportunity to develop skills in Interventional Radiology. Candidates must be caring and possess excellent communication skills. No prior experience in imaging is required, as full training will be provided. This position is full-time and may involve flexible working hours, including weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Milton Keynes University Hospital Imaging Department as a new Imaging Scanning Centre is opening in 2026. The Imaging Department has also recently expanded with an introduction of two Community Diagnostic Centres at Lloyds Court and Whitehouse Park.
Interventional Radiology is a specialist field with many procedures such as vascular, biopsies, drainages and vascular line insertions performed with minimally invasive techniques using Fluoroscopy, CT-scan, and Ultrasound as modality, however nursing roles and responsibilities are required throughout the department.
The Nursing team works closely with Interventional Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and the Clinical support team throughout the patient’s journey through the Imaging Department.
No previous experience in this imaging or radiology field is necessary, as full training will be given if successful.

The successful candidate will be a RN with a caring nature, with excellent verbal communication skills and ability organise and to use their initiative.
To ensure effective nursing input and participation wherever appropriate within Imaging. This involves delivery of patient care daily. Such delivery of care will be given whilst working within a wide range of radiology procedures (for example under computed tomography (CT), Interventional Radiology (IR), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Ultrasound) as well as under professional guidelines.
The post requires a degree of flexibility to respond to the changing needs within the departments. Radiology is a 24/7 service and out of hours working may be required.
