Overview

Due to ongoing expansion of our imaging service we now operate over 7 days between the hours of 08:00 to 20:00daily. We are looking for our final Band 3 Imaging Scheduler to join the Administration team within the General Imaging department at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. This is a great opportunity to undertake this role within the Imaging Department as the successful candidate will work as part of a varied multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

The role involves varied administrative tasks, from inputting patient information, processing referrals, speaking to patients, dealing with enquiries, booking appointments and managing the Reception desk to filing or scanning documents using CRS and RISe systems. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, flexible and a reliable team player, who can manage a varied workload to meet demanding targets and changing deadlines. They must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary, confidential environment, and adhere to Information Governance procedures. Computer literacy is essential as the new incumbent will be expected to input and extract information from a number of booking and patient tracking systems. Full training for CRS and RISe will be provided on the job.

There are multiple roles and reserve lists may be maintained.

Qualifications

To ensure provision of a comprehensive and efficient booking, scheduling and reception service for patients, that adheres to the Trust Access Policy and remains within national and local access targets. The role requires the post holder to develop efficient and effective systems of work to ensure that patients experience good communication, choice of appointment and a personal and responsive service. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively across Reception / Scheduling and various Imaging modalities as needed/required and will build up a strong working knowledge in all areas.

Opportunities for Cross-site cover for other imaging teams within CSD will be available (and cross modality training will be given for VUS, Nuc Med and Breast teams as/when needed/appropriate). It is essential to have a strong administrative background with good organisational skills. The successful candidate will need to actively demonstrate our WeCare Values and behaviours.
