Responsibilities

  • Manage correspondence, appointments, and records for medical professionals.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently, ensuring accurate communication.
  • Prepare and maintain medical documentation, reports, and patient records.
  • Assist in organising meetings, taking minutes, and performing general administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
  • Undertake secretarial functions as part of the secretarial team in line with access targets.
  • Type clinical letters and clinical reports.
  • Ensure quality of admin services provided to patients and staff.
  • Resolve problems, escalating where necessary.
  • Take part in suitable cross-cover arrangements.
  • Support the Management team / Clinical lead with Department meetings.

As a Medical Secretary in imaging, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to medical professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of our healthcare services. You will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining high standards within the dynamic environment of St. Bartholomew's Hospital.
