Viridien is a technology and Earth data company hiring a recent graduate or final-year student to join our geophysics team in Crawley. You will use signal processing, modelling and imaging to build high‑resolution seismic images and models for clients, with training provided in geology and geophysics.

The role offers a starting salary of £38,000 with a bonus scheme, a hybrid work model with up to two days at home, and relocation support options for international candidates.

What skills will you develop as a geophysicist?

Early in your career you can expect to develop expertise in:

Most people who start with Viridien come from outside the earth sciences; we will provide all necessary training in geology and geophysics.

What we look for

This role is aimed at recent graduates and final-year students with a Bachelors, integrated or postgraduate Masters or PhD in Physics, Geophysics, or Mathematics, or in Earth Sciences, Natural Sciences or Engineering with significant physics content.

We’ll consider what you’ve learned from your course and projects, any part-time work or internships, and extracurricular activities or volunteering. If you are selected then during the application process, you’ll have the opportunity to share:

Additional Information

• Application deadline: 31st January 2027. Note we conduct rolling interviews.
• Start date: March 2nd 2027 although we are open to starting people from January onwards.
• Location: We are located in Crawley , just south of London; well connected to the capital, the South Coast, and Gatwick Airport for international travel.
