Job summary

TKMS ATLAS UK is seeking an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer to join its Services Division at Dorset Innovation Park. You will contribute to through-life management of complex defence systems, coordinating maintenance data, reliability actions and asset records within SAP PM and Teamcenter.

The role requires a degree or equivalent, with experience in ILS, configuration management and through-life support in a defence context.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering/science, relevant industry experience.
• Experience applying ILS principles to MOD or industry programmes.
• Experience with SAP PM and asset/maintenance data management.
• Understanding of configuration management, change control and through-life support.
• Knowledge of reliability, maintainability and availability principles.
• Familiarity with defence standards (Def Stan 00-600/00-40).
• Knowledge of Defence Logistics Framework, LIRs, OPUS 10 or ARM tools advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and govern asset and maintenance data in SAP PM.
• Develop and maintain logistic datasets across PLM, SAP and legacy systems.
• Support configuration audits and align assets with SAP PM and Teamcenter records.
• Monitor reliability issues through DRACAS activities and drive improvements.
• Identify and implement improvements to system reliability and availability.
• Manage product obsolescence and support equipment through its life.
• Support bids with cost modelling and WPA generation.
• Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations.

Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced ILS Engineer looking for an opportunity to support the through-life management of complex defence engineering systems?

TKMS ATLAS UK is looking for an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Engineer to join its Services Division at Dorset Innovation Park. This is a newly created position where you will play an important role in developing and maintaining product support solutions across the Services portfolio. Reporting to the Services Principal ILS Manager, you will work closely with engineering, supply chain, project and support teams to ensure effective through-life support and equipment availability.

You will be involved in configuration management, maintenance data governance, reliability improvement and the development of As Maintained Configurations (AMC). Working across SAP Plant Maintenance (PM), Teamcenter and other PLM systems, your responsibilities will include:

• Creating, maintaining and governing asset and maintenance data within SAP Plant Maintenance.

• Developing and maintaining logistic datasets across PLM, SAP and legacy systems.

• Supporting configuration audits and ensuring alignment between physical assets, SAP PM and Teamcenter records.

• Monitoring and analysing reliability issues through DRACAS activities.

• Identifying and implementing improvements to system reliability and availability.

• Managing product obsolescence and supporting equipment throughout its operational life.

• Supporting bids through cost modelling and Work Package Agreement (WPA) generation.

• Monitoring system performance and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

What does your experience look like?

We are interested in hearing from candidates with an engineering background and experience in ILS, engineering support or through-life support, ideally within the defence sector.

Your experience should include:

• A degree, HNC/HND in an engineering or science-related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

• Experience applying ILS principles to UK MOD or industry programmes.

• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and asset or maintenance data management.

• An understanding of configuration management, change control and through-life support.

• Knowledge of reliability, maintainability and availability principles.

• Familiarity with defence standards, particularly Def Stan 00-600 and Def Stan 00-40 Series.

• Knowledge of the Defence Logistics Framework, LIRs, OPUS 10 or ARM tools would be advantageous.

An ILS Practitioner qualification would also be beneficial.
