Mactech Inspection Ltd is seeking an IIA Design Reviewer – Mechanical Engineer for the HPC project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. The role focuses on surveillance of design documentation, coordination with contract partners and internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with pressure regulation requirements.

You will contribute to KPI reporting, identify issues early, and maintain high-quality outputs in a highly regulated environment with piping system design experience.

Qualifikationen

• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training and experience.
• Broad knowledge of Engineering Construction industry, materials, trades methods and legal requirements.
• Experience with design of piping in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience with design codes and standards such as EN 13480, ASME III, RCC-M…
• Excellent organisation, delegation, and good communication skills (knowledge of French can be an advantage).
• Proven experience of writing reports which are accurate and concise.
• Good attention to detail when checking work and the ability to maintain quality standards in a high-pressure environment.
• Knowledge of the documentation used to comply with pressure regulations.

Aufgaben

• Perform surveillance of the design documentation in accordance with the applicable requirements and notify the Pressure Compliance Lead of observations.
• Submit details of the observations raised and assist in convergence meetings to progress these.
• Proactively communicate with other teams, maintain good communication and ensure surveillance is timely reported.
• Contribute surveillance information to support KPI indicators.
• Endeavour to identify potential issues before they arrive to enable mitigating actions.
• Enhance the team with a good perspective of current and future activities.
