Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking an experienced IFS Finance Consultant to join a major enterprise Transformation programme in the UK. You will design, configure and deliver finance solutions within a complex IFS environment, translating business requirements into scalable system capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance design workshops and capture business requirements.
• Configure and optimize IFS Finance modules.
• Support end-to-end finance processes (GL, AP, AR, P2P, O2C, etc.).
• Prepare functional specifications and support solution design.
• Coordinate testing, defect resolution and user acceptance testing.
• Support reporting, integrations and data migration activities.
• Guide stakeholders to adopt new processes and systems.

IFS Finance Consultant Outside IR35 Hybrid UK

We're looking for an experienced IFS Finance Consultant to join a major enterprise transformation programme and play a pivotal role in the design, configuration and delivery of finance solutions within a complex IFS environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance systems professional who combines strong functional expertise with a passion for improving business processes and delivering real value to stakeholders.

The Role:

You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to design and implement robust finance solutions across the IFS platform, ensuring business requirements are translated into effective and scalable system capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading finance design workshops and gathering business requirements
• Configuring and optimising IFS Finance modules
• Supporting end-to-end finance processes including:
  • General Ledger
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Procure-to-Pay
  • Order-to-Cash
  • Project Finance
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Inventory Costing
• Producing functional specifications and supporting solution design
• Managing testing activities, defect resolution and user acceptance testing

• Providing guidance to stakeholders and helping drive successful adoption of new processes and systems

Skills & experience:

• Proven experience delivering finance-focused IFS projects
• Strong hands‑on configuration experience within IFS Finance
