Job summary

Project People collaborates with a leading Telecommunications company to recruit an experienced Accounting Manager (IFRS 16). You will own the end-to-end IFRS16 process across 15,000+ sites, delivering monthly reporting and journals while serving as the key IFRS16 contact for shareholder finance teams, auditors, outsourced providers and internal stakeholders.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, 2+ years post-qualification IFRS16 experience, and a strong track record in managing

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• 2+ years post-qualification IFRS16 experience.
• Proven ownership of IFRS16 reporting.
• Experience managing external audit reviews.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence with large datasets.
• Strong stakeholder management with senior finance teams and auditors.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead IFRS16 process, data and reporting for 15,000+ sites.
• Act as SME for IFRS16 policy and treatment.
• Liaise with outsourced providers for monthly updates and journals.
• Maintain Excel-based models and controls for lease outputs.
• Support external audit reviews and provide evidence and analyses.
• Collaborate with commercial, legal and property teams on lease structures.
• Assess accounting implications of new site agreements and modifications.
