About the Company
Our client is a well-established Independent Financial Adviser with a strong reputation for providing professional, high-quality and client-focused financial planning services.
Due to continued business growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced IFA Financial Planning Administrator to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to join a professional and friendly business, contribute from day one and develop their career over the long term.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex financial planning administration from instruction through to completion.
- Process new business applications and supporting documentation across pensions, investments, life assurance and other financial planning products.
- Obtain and assess policy information, valuations, quotations, illustrations and projections.
- Liaise confidently with providers, clients and IFAs to resolve queries and progress outstanding requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, workflows and documentation using Intelliflo.
- Manage annual client review administration, including preparation, follow-up and completion of review actions.
- Take ownership of complex cases and ensure outstanding requirements are followed up and resolved promptly.
- Work closely with IFAs and the Paraplanner to support the efficient delivery of client advice.
- Provide support and cover during periods of absence or increased workload.
- Act as a point of reference for more complex administration queries.
- Support the prioritisation and effective management of workloads.
- Contribute ideas to improve administrative processes, systems and controls.
- Assist with compliance monitoring, file reviews, audits and inspections where required.
- Identify and escalation?
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately and in line with the firm's compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of three years' experience within an IFA, wealth management or financial planning environment.
- Strong financial planning or wealth management administration experience.
- Previous experience handling complex financial planning and new business cases.
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, life assurance and associated financial planning products.
- Proven experience using Intelliflo is essential.
- Confident working closely with IFAs and supporting advisers with complex administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communication skills when dealing with clients, providers, advisers and colleagues.
- Ability to identify errors, recognise risk and escalation?
- A proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of complex work.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team.
- Professional, personable and collaborative approach.
Desirable Skills
- Level 4 financial services qualification is desirable, although not essential.
- Experience working within a Chartered IFA or wealth management environment.
- Experience with complex new business administration.
- Previous experience with paraplanning duties would be advantageous.
- Experience contributing to process and operational improvements.
- An interest in developing leadership and management skills.
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring colleagues would be beneficial.
