Job summary

A large NHS trust is seeking an IEP Administrator to assist in the Breast Imaging Department. The successful candidate will manage the Picture Archiving and Communication System as well as the Image Exchange Portal across multiple sites. Responsibilities include ensuring timely image transfers, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, providing secretarial support, and maintaining confidentiality. Job description
Overview

We are looking for an IEP Administrator to join our Imaging team within the IEP Team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. We operate over 5 days between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00. This is a great opportunity to undertake this role within the Breast Imaging Department, as the successful candidate will work cross-site cover across the network.

Responsibilities
  • Pro-actively support the day-to-day delivery of an effective and efficient Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) across all Bart’s sites.
  • Manage the IEP (Image Exchange Portal) service, ensuring that the daily large volumes imaging is sent out and retrieved in a timely manner, liaising with multi-disciplinary teams both inside and outside the Trust to ensure that images are available wherever they are needed in the required timescale.
  • Request and transfer images via the Image Exchange Portal, PACS and RISe systems; input patient information; answer enquiries; provide Reception cover.
  • Provide secretarial support to the team as required.
  • Update patient record systems as required.
  • Manage appointments and scheduling activities using the RISe system; support the administrative team and provide reception cover.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Information Governance procedures; work within a multi-disciplinary, confidential environment.
  • Monitor real-time workflows and contribute to daily and weekly monitoring to ensure smooth service delivery for patients.
Requirements / Skills
