Job summary

Victim Support in Staffordshire is seeking an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to cover the Lichfield area, delivering frontline risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy and practical support 22.5 hours per week. The fixed-term role supports maternity leave and will involve travel across Staffordshire, based in our Stafford office and with hybrid working after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience in frontline support for victims of domestic abuse.
• Ability to undertake risk assessments and create safety plans.
• Experience with MARAC and multi-agency responses.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline service to victims through risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, and practical support.
• Work within MARAC and local partnership responses to keep safety central.
• Promote the service and improve access to support for victims.
• Experience of providing support to those affected by domestic abuse.
• Undertake needs and risk assessments and create safety plans.
• Engage with multi-agency processes and partnerships.
