The Council invites applications for the ICT Network Specialist to join our Infrastructure team in Telford. You will design, deliver and support WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and security services that underpin Council operations, schools, councillors and external customers across the borough.

You'll lead technical projects, resolve complex issues, work with suppliers, and communicate concepts clearly while ensuring resilience, security and future readiness of our network services.

Qualificações

• Significant experience with enterprise networking across large environments.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills essential.
• Experience with network security, wireless tech, firewalls and large-scale infrastructure.

Do you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and shaping the future of enterprise network services?

We're looking for an experienced ICT network professional to join our Infrastructure team. You'll take a leading role in the design, delivery and support of the network services that underpin Council operations, schools, councillors and external customers across the borough.

The role

• WAN, LAN, SD-WAN and wireless networks
• Network security and firewalls
• Dark fibre and point-to-point wireless links
• CCTV network infrastructure
• Capacity planning, performance and resilience
• Technical design, implementation and support of new network technologies

You'll work on major infrastructure projects, lead the resolution of complex technical issues, support strategic technology decisions and help ensure our network services remain secure, reliable and fit for the future.

About You

You'll bring significant experience of enterprise networking together with strong technical and problem-solving skills.

We're looking for someone who can:

Experience with network security, wireless technologies, firewalls and large-scale infrastructure environments is essential.
