Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors is seeking a senior Identity Security leader to coach and grow distributed IAM teams in the US and UK. You will govern identity lifecycle, access requests and privileged access, while advancing AI Agent Governance and continuous process improvements across identity services.

You will partner with security, risk, compliance and HR to deliver secure, auditable identity solutions and drive measurable improvements. Hybrid working arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in IAM, Identity Governance or Identity Security.
• At least 2 years of direct people leadership experience.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams across time zones.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle, Joiner/Mover/Leaver, access reviews and PAM.
• Proven ability to drive automation and process improvements for controls.
• Understanding of AI Agent Governance risks and controls.
• Experience with audit, compliance and operational risk in Identity Security.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead Identity Security teams in the US and UK with growth plans.

• Oversee AI Agent Governance maturity and lifecycle requirements.
• Drive automation to reduce manual effort and improve service delivery.

Your opportunity

• Lead, coach and develop Identity Security teams located in the United States and United Kingdom, with responsibility to support future expansion into additional regions.
• Provide leadership and operational oversight for identity governance, identity lifecycle management, access requests, access certifications, privileged access and directory services.
• Lead the development and ongoing maturity of AI Agent Governance, including ownership, identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, least-privilege access, monitoring and decommissioning requirements.
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement across Identity Security services to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls and improve the user and operator experience.
• Establish clear priorities, performance expectations and accountability while supporting employee development, succession planning and workforce capacity needs.
• Partner with Information Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, HR and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and auditable identity solutions.
• Oversee Identity Security roadmaps, initiatives, service performance, risks and dependencies, and provide clear reporting and recommendations to leadership.
• Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, operational discipline, documentation and measurable improvement.
• Carry out other duties assigned.

Must have skills

• At least 7 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance or Identity Security.
• At least 2 years of direct people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management and employee development.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams and working effectively across time zones and regions.
• Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle management, Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes, access governance, user access reviews and privileged access management.
• Demonstrated experience driving automation and continuous process improvements that improve control effectiveness, reliability and service delivery.
• Understanding of AI Agent Governance risks and controls, including ownership, identity, authentication, authorization, least privilege, monitoring and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing audit, compliance and operational risk requirements within an Identity Security environment.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business outcomes.

Nice to have skills

• Experience with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud or IdentityIQ, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, ServiceNow and privileged access management platforms.
• Experience establishing or maturing an enterprise AI Agent Governance program.
• Experience leading large-scale IAM transformation, modernization or global operating model initiatives.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, identity-first security, least privilege, segregation of duties, RBAC and ABAC principles.
• Automation or scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, APIs, workflow orchestration or similar technologies.
• Relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SailPoint or Microsoft Security.
