Making Mealtimes Matter
At Trust, we help people live independently, safely and with dignity. As part of our supportive, values-led team, you'll make a positive difference to older people across Scotland every day. We offer competitive pay above the minimum wage, aligned with Living Wage rates, generous annual leave and pension contributions. You'll also receive wellbeing support, paid training and development, and, where applicable, role-specific benefits such as uniform and a paid PVG Disclosure check.
As a Cook, you will prepare nutritious, well-balanced and varied meals that help make mealtimes enjoyable, welcoming and supportive for tenants, customers and occasional guests.
You will help create a positive dining experience, support individual dietary needs and make sure meals are prepared, served and recorded safely in line with Trust's food safety procedures.
A typical day might include planning and preparing meals, supporting dietary requirements, serving food safely and on time, maintaining food safety records, managing stock and helping create a warm, welcoming dining experience for customers.
We're looking for someone who enjoys cooking and serving quality food, takes pride in their work and understands the importance of safe, nutritious and enjoyable meals.
You'll be organised, reliable and confident communicating with customers, colleagues and managers. You'll understand, or be willing to learn, food safety and HACCP requirements.
Basic digital tasks, such as using emails or online forms, may be part of the role, and we'll support you with any role-specific systems you need to use.
