Frimley Park Critical Care Unit is a 12-bed adult ICU/HDU with expansion plans and serves as a 24/7 PCI centre with advanced cardiac care and CRRT. The role offers a challenging environment with strong development opportunities, including MSc study and ACCP progression, under a Mary Seacole pathway and infection control emphasis.

The post is for an experienced Band 6 ICU Nurse with leadership responsibilities and a commitment to completing/holding 60 credits of ICU coursework, with a permanent

Qualifications

• RGN with ENB100 or equivalent critical care module.
• Current NMC registration and additional critical care training.
• Teaching/mentorship course or equivalent.
• Band 6 ICU experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead nursing care assessment, planning, and evaluation on a shift-to-shift basis and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Act as a clinical role model promoting patient-centred care with advanced practice skills.
• Develop standards of patient care based on research findings.
• Audit and evaluate nursing care within the unit.
• Contribute to teaching for nurses and other health professionals and support service improvement.
• Promote infection control standards within the unit.
• Maintain legible, comprehensive patient records to Trust and NMC standards.
• With the Senior Nursing Team, manage incidents, complaints and staff issues with corrective action.
• Take on Critical Care Nurse in Charge role, coordinating admissions and transfers.
