Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated nurse to join the ICU team as Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse (Band 6) at Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals. You will rotate between the two sites, taking charge on shift and leading a multidisciplinary team in critical care.

Essential Critical Care experience and post-registration mentorship/education are required, with ongoing opportunities for development and a supportive practice development framework within the trust.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Level 1) is required.
• Teaching/assessing in practice ENB 998/SLICE or equivalent.
• First degree in Nursing Studies desirable with CPD.
• Accredited Critical Care Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver direct patient care on the ICU.
• Manage ICU on a shift-by-shift basis with strategic awareness.
• Assist in the management of a team of nurses with Team Leader guidance.
