Job summary

REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking a Cluster ICT Support Technician to deliver frontline IT support across schools in Cluster 10 — Waltham Stow and surrounding areas. The role requires a full driving licence and access to your own transport, with daily travel to different school sites.

You will install and maintain hardware and software, resolve common issues, and escalate complex problems to the ICT team, while emphasising customer-friendly service in a busy education environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline IT support to Shared Services and School staff.
  • Attend multiple school sites within the cluster to install and maintain IT hardware and software.
  • Escalate more complex issues to the ICT team as appropriate.

Job description

Exciting mobile role supporting schools across Cluster 10 - Waltham Stow and surrounding areas. You must hold a full driving licence and have access to your own transport. The role offers variety, with each day spent working in a different school.

The Cluster ICT Support Technician will be responsible for providing IT support to the Shared Services and School staff. Based in schools, this role will be on the front line and the face of the IT Services department and required to attend sites within their cluster of schools to install and maintain IT hardware and software, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.


This is a school-based position and travel will be required to school sites therefore flexibility with working hours and a willingness to travel is required.


We are seeking an individual with the following skills and experience:


  • Previous experience working in a customer facing role

  • Good Knowledge of Network Security

  • Understanding of IT software and hardware

  • Good knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Highly organised

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Respects confidentiality
