Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Southampton is seeking an Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Engineer to design and verify analogue, mixed-signal and digital ICs for infrared imaging and remote sensing applications. The role offers hybrid working with a flexible approach and involves generating verification evidence and preparing technical reports.

You will work in a mixed-signal IC design team, translating requirements into verifiable solutions and supporting design processes, layouts and testing at transistor

Qualifications

• Transistor/block level layout understanding.
• Block level design, schematic capture and simulation experience.

Job Description: Your Impact Leonardo has a fantastic new opportunity for an Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Engineer who will help design and manufacture world class infrared imaging products for use in remote sensing and thermal imaging applications; including earth observation, border surveillance, search and track systems and laboratory equipment. The role will be based at our purpose-built facility in Southampton and offered as a hybrid style position with employee flexibility in mind. The successful candidate will join our mixed-signal IC design team where they will work at transistor, cell and/or block level to translate design requirements into verifiable design solutions.

What you will do:

• Working to design specifications.
• Completing design and development tasks.
• Digital, analogue and mixed signal.
• Generating and capturing verification evidence.
• Working to design processes and procedures.
• Completing lab first article test and validation from manufactured samples.
• Preparing technical documentation and reports.

Required:

• Experience with Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Analogue, mixed signal and/or Digital IC design skills based on formal qualifications.
• Transistor/block level layout understanding.
• Block level design, schematic capture and simulation experience.

Desirable:

• Experience with ROIC’s Imaging device / product experience.
• Experience with the Cadence tool suite.
• Experience gained from working on complex IC designs.
• Transistor/block level layout design experience.
