Job description

Job Assignments, Measurements & Sphere of Influence

• Ensure effective execution of electrical and I&C erection and turnover to commissioning
• Optimize the use of allocated resources
• Effective management of the subcontractors on all aspects of site electrical and I&C erection.
• Execution of the discipline works erection strategy as defined by the Overall Construction Manager.
• Creation of a detailed plan and sub schedule to ensure all works within the discipline are completed in accordance with the overall schedule
• Preparation and pre checks to ensure all materials are available and all required tools and equipment are available
• Liaise with Engineering on all engineering documentation required for site erection of the discipline work
• Ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to the Site Quality Assurance Programme by the subcontractors of the discipline work
• The management of the subcontractors appointed to install the works within the discipline to ensure that the works are completed on time and within budget

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering discipline (comparable with bachelor/master)
• 5 years' experience in an electrical and I&C erection and turnover to commissioning management function
• Appropriate formal internal training in power plant construction and engineering
• Appropriate training in leadership and management.
• Experience of full cycle of power plant construction projects
• Experience in site construction execution and managing of subcontractors
• General knowledge of power plant systems
• Thorough knowledge within the discipline
• Commercial awareness.
