Job summary

Legal & General Group is seeking an Identity & Access Management Team Lead to shape the strategy and direction of our identity services across cloud and on‑premise environments. You will lead an established IAM team, drive governance, and partner with risk, technology, and business stakeholders to continuously improve access controls and security posture.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in Identity & Access Management or information security.
• Proven track record leading and developing technical teams.
• Broad understanding of identity across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Familiar with Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, RBAC and PAM.
• Experience managing controls, audit evidence and remediation.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and challenging access requirements.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex issues into practical priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop IAM and Access Control teams.
• Set priorities and shape strategic direction of identity services.
• Oversee access governance incl. JML, RBAC, PAM, recertification, service accounts.
• Coordinate IAM controls, attestations, audit evidence and remediation.
• Improve policies, standards, processes and service performance.
• Partner with business leaders, application owners, technology teams and service providers.
• Analyse identity and access data to identify risks and improvements.
• Support new technology integrations and identity-related business change.
