Job summary

G-Research is seeking an IAM Engineering Manager to lead the transformation of our identity and access management platforms. You will own strategy, engineering direction and operational excellence for authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle and access governance.

You will build a high-performing team, work closely with engineering, security, risk and audit to simplify architecture, modernise services and ensure secure, scalable controls across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering platforms at scale.
• Strong background in IAM, security or platform engineering.
• Deep knowledge of authentication, authorisation, federation, MFA, RBAC/ABAC, PAM and directory services.
• Experience designing and operating enterprise identity platforms.
• Strong architectural judgement and ability to drive transformation.
• Familiarity with SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, SCIM and identity governance.
• Ability to balance security, usability and operational resilience.
• Strong communicator with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the IAM strategy and roadmap.
• Lead a unified identity and permissions model balancing security and usability.
• Define standards for authentication, authorisation, privileged access and lifecycle management.
• Design, operate and modernise scalable IAM platforms.
• Drive automation across identity lifecycle management and access governance.
• Ensure IAM services are secure, reliable, auditable and resilient.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing IAM engineering team.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, risk and audit to influence technical direction.
