Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is partnering with a growing data centre client to appoint a Senior Procurement Manager. The role is predominantly remote with travel to London and international project locations, and it covers procurement for construction, MEP, equipment and professional services packages across the UK and overseas markets.

You will act as the client’s procurement authority, reviewing tenders, challenging bids and ensuring timely, compliant contract awards.

Qualifications

10+ years' experience in construction, engineering, procurement or commercial management.
Strong track record of taking tenders from RFP through to contract award.
Experience with data centres, mission-critical facilities or technically complex projects.
International procurement experience across multiple countries (EMEA/APAC).

Responsibilities

Oversee procurement from tender preparation through evaluation, approval and contract award.
Review scopes, pricing schedules, evaluation methodologies and proposed contract terms.
Challenging bid evaluations and award recommendations.
Monitor procurement programmes against critical construction dates and escalate delays.
Provide clear weekly reporting on procurement progress, risks and decisions.
Coordinate with consultants and professional services.
