The Role

As the Hyperlocal Client Partner you will own the Grocery Hyperlocal strategy, working closely with UKI Central Strategy, Marketing and seeking feedback/ideas from the Regional Directors across the business. You will need to grow market share across the regions in Grocery and work closely with the Partner CPs to understand strategic partner opportunities to support further here.

You will:
  • Work with the UKI Central Strategy team to agree the Hyperlocal Strategy for Grocery for 2026
  • Understand missing estate and missed opportunities currently and work closely with Partner CPs to unlock sites of large strategic accounts whilst also unlocking relevant smaller partners to support your hyperlocal approach
  • Work closely with Marketing and Merchandising to ensure there is a best in class offering hyperlocally for Grocery
  • Stakeholder management - Work as a conduit to connect Grocery, Drax, Regional Teams and Marketing to ensure we are delivering an integrated approach
  • Own the contract negotiations/modelling etc of all strategic concepts/contracts
  • Travel frequently across the country and Ireland to support and network across the regional teams
  • Act as a leader for the growing Grocery team, creating an inclusive, multi-functional team culture that drives team engagement and high-performance
The Candidate:

Requiring a high level of commercial skills and a go-getter attitude, the successful candidate needs excellence in analysis, negotiation and account management, combined with the passion and drive to shape the future of Hyperlocal within Grocery and the culture of an inclusive, high performing team.

The desired skills/experiences include:
  • A proven business performance record – must demonstrate a successful track record of revenue growth in account-facing roles including new business development
  • The ability to define and implement a strategy, working across multiple functions and working at pace. The candidate must be analytical, a self starter and highly motivated to change how the hyperlocal element of Grocery functions.
  • Well-developed influencing skills and the ability to flex your style to all levels and situations. Strong / structured communication skills with a clear aptitude to listen and respond to customer needs, adapting and engaging different audiences
  • A team player who can get the best from a multi-functional team, with a win-win/can-do attitude
