Job summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London seeks a Band 7 Clinical Neuropsychologist to join the Neuropsychology Department at NHNN, working across the inpatient stroke service with a focus on the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit. The post-holder will work alongside the existing stroke clinical neuropsychologist with regular supervision.

Qualifications

• Hold a Doctorate-level qualification in Clinical Psychology and be HCPC-registered.
• Experience conducting, interpreting and communicating neuropsychological assessments.
• Desirable: experience in stroke, acute neurology or neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Specialist neuropsychological assessment and formulation after acute stroke with rehabilitation recommendations.
• Brief psychological and cognitive rehabilitation, psychoeducation and behavioural management.
• Active contribution to MDT discharge planning, risk and capacity discussions in complex admissions.
• Neuropsychological liaison and handover to early supported discharge and community teams.
• Contribute to service development, audits and winter pressures evaluation.
