Job summary

DELI LITES IRELAND in Warrenpoint is seeking a Hygiene Team Member for our on-site unit at Milltown Industrial Estate. You will follow food safety, cleaning and hygiene procedures to maintain high standards and support production and quality teams.

The role requires reliability, basic English, willingness to learn, and the ability to work flexible shifts. We offer 28 days leave, cycle-to-work, staff discounts, on-site parking and an emphasis on safety and team spirit.

The Role:

Your Duties:

• Carry out cleaning duties safely and correctly at all times.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in all work areas.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Hygiene procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow COSHH guidelines.
• Wear the correct PPE at all times while cleaning.
• Ensure machines are safely switched off before cleaning where required.
• Report any damaged equipment or safety concerns to your Line Manager immediately.
• Follow the correct cleaning methods and instructions.
• Help support Production and Quality teams when extra cleaning is needed.
• Ensure cleaning activities do not create any food safety risks.
• Work safely and support the safety of other team members.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
• Follows food hygiene, cleaning, and safety rules at all times
• Maintains good personal hygiene and uses PPE correctly
• Uses cleaning chemicals safely and as instructed
• Reliable and punctual
• Understands basic English to: Follow verbal instruction
• Read safety signs and cleaning labels
• Communicate with supervisors and team members
• Previous experience in cleaning or food environments
• Food hygiene or safety training/certification
• Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures
• Ability to complete simple cleaning records or checklists
• Flexible with shifts or work areas
