Job summary

Warburtons is seeking a Distribution Hygiene Team Member for our Ferrybridge depot. You will help keep our depot clean, safe and ready to deliver high-quality products to customers across the UK.

The role offers a permanent contract with initial start and training at the Wakefield site and involves working in a 24/7 distribution environment. You’ll join a multi-skilled team within hygiene, production and warehouse, operating bakery machinery and plant equipment, while upholding health, safety

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety and food safety systems and legislation, including COSHH.
• Ability to work safely and consider the safety of others.
• A positive outlook, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety first and protect your own safety and that of colleagues and visitors.
• Complete planned cleaning and hygiene activities across warehouse, loading, welfare and communal areas.
• Follow all health, safety, environment, food safety and hygiene standards, including COSHH requirements.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly, safely and in line with site procedures.
• Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards, promote good housekeeping and report issues or actions required.

What You'll Be Doing

Our Team Member role provides the opportunity to learn new skills within the fast-paced world of food manufacturing.Team Members are an important part of our work family ensuring our quality products are ready to be distributed to our customers.

This role is part of a shift team within a 24/7 food manufacturing operation who support in enabling Warburtons to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products.

Our Team Members are multi-skilled and work across various departments within hygiene, production and warehouse, operating bakery machinery and automated plant equipment – at times autonomously - in a food manufacturing environment.

Health and Safety and Quality are very important to us and we work to Company standards and statutory hygiene standards.

As a Distribution Hygiene Team Member, you'll play an important part in keeping our depot clean, including warehouse, office and facilities. Working closely with colleagues across the operation, your key responsibilities will include:

• Safety First: Work safely at all times, protecting your own safety and that of colleagues and visitors.
• Scheduled Cleaning: Complete planned cleaning and hygiene activities across warehouse, loading, welfare and communal areas.
• Compliance: Follow all relevant health, safety, environment, food safety and hygiene standards, including COSHH requirements.
• Equipment and Chemicals: Use cleaning equipment and chemicals correctly, safely and in line with site procedures.
• Standards and Reporting: Maintain company and statutory hygiene standards, promote good housekeeping and report any issues or actions required.

• Willing to work a flexible shift pattern, including days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays
