Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Night Shift Hygiene Team Leader to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Witham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of Hygiene Operatives during the night shift.
  • Carry out high-level cleaning and disinfection of all production areas, including production lines and associated equipment.
  • Ensure all cleaning is completed to site and customer standards, following detailed cleaning instruction cards.
  • Manage chemical and consumable stock, including ordering and safe handling in line with COSHH requirements.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning records and ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with production and management teams to identify and resolve hygiene-related issues.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience overseeing hygiene operations within a food manufacturing or similar production environment.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene processes, COSHH regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow and implement cleaning schedules.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic education level with the ability to read and understand written instructions.
