Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK's leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire, has built an excellent reputation over the last 25 years.
Our night shift team is looking for a new Hygiene Team Leader. This role would ideally suit someone currently working in a similar role or who is looking to take a step up in their career. As our new Hygiene Team Leader, you will support the hygiene functions of our site on a day‑to‑day basis, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are delivered at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of all production machinery without compromising or damaging equipment through water ingress or negligence
  • Providing leadership and direction to the hygiene community by ensuring people are engaged, focused and able to deliver their potential at all times
  • Working closely with the Hygiene Supervisor to ensure the wider hygiene team has the necessary training plans and support in place to assist their ongoing development in order to meet the needs of the business
  • Responsible for ensuring that the hygiene management system (HMS) and records are maintained and appropriate actions are taken to ensure good hygiene practice (GHP) is adhered to
  • Checking concentrations of cleaning chemicals prior to use and accurately recording the results
  • Ensuring all cleaning documentation is completed and maintaining knowledge, understanding and compliance to the hygiene, safety and environmental factors associated with the company's hygiene function
Qualifications
  • Experienced team leader
  • COSHH trained in the safe use of chemicals used for cleaning
  • A positive work attitude and a hands‑on approach
  • Good attention to detail
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Experience, preferably with a food industry background, would be advantageous
