Job Advert: Shift Lead Industrial Cleaner (Nights)
Location: Redditch
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 3 off nights (6:00 PM - 5:00 AM)

Are you an experienced Cleaning Supervisor looking for a challenging and rewarding new role? We are a leading national commercial cleaning provider, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Shift Lead to join our team at a high-risk seafood factory in Redditch. As the Night Shift Lead, you will be crucial in managing a team of industrial cleaners to ensure the facility meets the highest standards of hygiene and food safety. This is a hands-on role where you will lead by example, motivating your team and ensuring all deep cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Leading, supervising, and motivating a team of industrial cleaners during the night shift.
  • Overseeing and participating in the high-risk cleaning of production lines, machinery, and facilities within a busy seafood factory.
  • Operating specialist cleaning equipment, including high-pressure jet washers, to achieve an exceptional standard of cleanliness.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all health & safety, COSHH, and food safety regulations.
  • Conducting pre-shift briefings, delegating tasks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Training and developing your team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.

  • Essential: Proven experience supervising or leading a team in an industrial or manufacturing cleaning environment.
  • Essential: Hands-on experience with industrial cleaning methods, including the proficient use of jet washing equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to high standards.
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently during the night shift.
  • Experience in a food production or high-care environment is highly advantageous.
