Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is assisting a leading food manufacturer in Wrexham to recruit a Night Hygiene Supervisor. You will lead hygiene operations during the night shift, ensuring cleaning and sanitation meet GMP, HACCP and customer standards.

You will manage and develop the hygiene team across production and warehouse, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement while promoting health and COSHH compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hygiene teams within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Good knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, cleaning chemicals and sanitation methods.
• Food Safety, HACCP, COSHH or Internal Auditor qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
• Comfortable working a Sunday-Thursday night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate hygiene across production and warehouse areas.
• Manage, train and develop the hygiene team.
• Ensure hygiene standards meet GMP, HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Support internal, customer and third-party audits.
• Complete hygiene inspections, verification checks and documentation.

• Promote health & safety and COSHH compliance across the department.
• Lead continuous initiatives to improve hygiene performance and efficiency.

Night Hygiene Supervisor - Food Manufacturing

£38,000 to £40,000

Wrexham

10pm - 6am Sunday to Thursday

Do you have experience leading hygiene or sanitation teams within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, and want to make an impact at a high-profile site where you can take ownership of a motivated and skilled hygiene team?

This leading Food Manufacturer specialises in ready meal solutions for big supermarkets & foodservice providers, having over 100 years of history and a strong footprint both globally and in the UK. They operate several modern production facilities and have benefited from significant investment recently.

In this role you will be responsible for leading and coordinating hygiene operations across the site, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation activities are completed safely, effectively and in line with food safety and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading hygiene teams within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment. This role could suit an experienced Hygiene Supervisor or someone ready to step up from a Charge Hand position.
