Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is offering an exciting opportunity as a Hygiene Operator in Cupar, Scotland. This ongoing temporary night shift position pays £12.30 per hour plus shift allowances. Duties include maintaining cleanliness of machinery and work areas while adhering to hygiene standards. Ideal candidates should have an ability to follow instructions and work well in teams. Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.

Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for individuals with talent in maintaining clean and hygienic environments, to become a Hygiene Operator with our Cupar-based food production client!

  • An ongoing temporary night shift position
  • Paid weekly at £12.30 per hour (plus a weekly shift allowance of £19.27 per shift)
  • A working week of Monday to Friday:
    • Monday, 17:45 to 02:00 +
    • Tuesday & Wednesday, 21:45 to 06:00 +
    • Thursday, 19:45 to 04:00 +
    • Friday, 16:45 to 01:00
  • Overtime readily available - paid at £15.38 per hour

Working from their site in Cupar, you will be an essential member of the hygiene team. Where your duties will include:

  • Cleaning of industrial machinery, floors, walls and work surfaces
  • Maintain set hygiene standards in line with company and culture requirements
  • Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment, plus cleaning chemicals
  • Communicate with other staff members about areas of risk and maintenance required
  • Some manual handling and other hygiene related requirements
To be successful in this Hygiene Operator role

you will ideally have previous experience working in an industrial cleaning environment - but not essential as full training is provided. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Being able to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Working at height, cherry picker, scissor lift experience is beneficial but NOT REQUIRED
