Job summary

Stonegate Farmers Ltd in Lacock, Wiltshire is seeking a Hygiene Operative for night shifts to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene across the production environment.

The role involves cleaning and sanitising production areas, ensuring GMP standards are met, and following COSHH procedures. You will work nights (18:00–06:00) in a busy production setting, contributing to safe and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, production or similar operational environment.
• Hygiene/cleaning experience beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in a high-care food environment beneficial.
• Good eye for detail and methodical approach.
• Well organized and able to work under pressure.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Reliable and supportive team player.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning and sanitisation of production machinery and factory areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and GMP.
• Ensure cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and to required standard.
• Follow COSHH requirements and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Adhere to company hygiene rules, procedures and safe working practices.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure production areas are clean, safe and ready for operation.
• Identify and report any hygiene or cleanliness concerns.

Role: Hygiene Operative - Nights

Salary: £15.11 p/h

Location: Lacock, Wiltshire

Working Hours: 18.00pm - 06:00am, 4on4off

We’re looking for a Hygiene Operative to join our team, helping to maintain the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene required across our production environment.

This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for cleaning and sanitising production areas and machinery, ensuring our hygiene, food safety and operational standards are consistently maintained.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out daily cleaning and sanitisation of production machinery and factory areas
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
• Ensuring cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly and to the required standard
• Following COSHH requirements and handling cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
• Adhering to company hygiene rules, procedures and safe working practices
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production areas are clean, safe and ready for operation
• Identifying and reporting any hygiene or cleanliness concerns

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and has a strong eye for detail. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy production environment and able to approach tasks in a methodical and organised way.

Ideally, you will:

• Have previous experience working within a warehouse, production or similar operational environment
• Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role would be highly advantageous, but isn’t essential
• Experience within a high‑care food environment would be beneficial
• Have a good eye for detail and a methodical approach to your work
• Be well organised and able to work effectively under pressure
• Have a good level of spoken and written English
• Be a reliable and supportive team player
