Job description

Good opportunity to work as a Hygiene Operative for our client, which operates a large-scale bakery facility that produces a wide range of baked goods, supplying fresh products to major retailers and foodservice providers across the UK.

Staffline is recruiting a Hygiene Operative in Watnall, Nottingham.

The rate of pay is £12.21 - £12.97 per hour.

This role offers both full and part-time positions, working 4 on 4 off, 2 on 2 off. Weekends night are essential.

The hours of work are:

• Days 6pm to 6am, Weekdays & Weekends
• Nights 6pm to 6am, Weekdays & Weekends

Students will need to provide hard copies of the term timetable and university letters.

Due to the bakery's location on the outskirts of Nottingham, candidates are required to have access to their own car and hold a full UK driving licence - unless they have reliable bus connections that cover early morning and night shifts.

Your Time at Work

As a Hygiene Operative your duties include:

• Clean bakery equipment, floors, and surfaces to high hygiene standards
• Accurately complete hygiene records and checklists
• Supporting audits and ensuring areas are inspection‑ready
• Maintaining top‑tier cleaning and hygiene standards across the bakery
• Completing hygiene tasks and documentation accurately
• Supporting audits and customer visits
• Working in varied environments (hot, cold, confined spaces, at heights)
• Manual handling tasks

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will be physically fit, as there is a lot of standing and walking for long periods, and regular lifting, carrying, and moving of equipment or materials is involved. You must be comfortable working in hot or cold environments.

Applicants will be happy to work at heights and in confined spaces, as tasks may require cleaning in tight areas or elevated platforms.

You will be able to provide a right to work share code and a passport.

No previous experience is necessary as full training is provided.
