Hygiene Operative

Location: Crossmaglen area
Rate of Pay: £16.42 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time, shift-based

Role Overview

A well-established food production facility in the Crossmaglen area is currently seeking a Hygiene Operative to join its hygiene team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and food safety standards within a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and sanitising production machinery, equipment, and factory areas to required standards
  • Following detailed hygiene schedules and standard operating procedures
  • Safe use and handling of industrial cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
  • Completing hygiene records and documentation accurately
  • Identifying and reporting hygiene, safety, or equipment issues
  • Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and PPE compliance
  • Supporting deep cleaning activities during shutdowns and changeovers
  • Working alongside production teams to minimise disruption while ensuring hygiene standards are met
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
  • Compliance with HACCP principles and audit requirements
