Overview

Job title: Hygiene Compliance Manager

Location: Moreton, Wirral, Merseyside, CH46 1PR

Working Hours: Monday to Friday Days - 39hrs

Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum

The main purpose of the role is to support and assist the Site Technical Manager in providing the Bakery with hygiene compliance. With responsibility for leading all sanitation and hygiene activities within the food manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities
  • To lead train and manage the hygiene team, ensuring all personnel are knowledgeable about and adhere to cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Design, implement and continuously improve sanitation schedules and SOPs for all production areas and equipment.
  • Implement and maintain a hygiene zoning programme involving the movement of personnel, materials and equipment.
  • To ensure the bakery is continuously audit ready.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements in regards to hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Oversee and manage the pest control programme, ensuring its effectiveness in maintaining a pest-free environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a Hygiene Compliance Manager or similar leadership role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • In depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of both implementing and maintaining hygiene zoning, sanitation schedules, CIP systems.
  • Proven experience in auditing and implementing and managing microbiological verification programmes.
  • Strong understanding of hygienic design principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills along with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH and ALARP principles.
