Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking a Workshop Engineer for a UK-based hydraulic engineering company in Middlesbrough. You will assess, repair, maintain and assemble hydraulic equipment, working in the workshop and on customer sites under the Service Manager.

The role offers £27,500 - £29,800 per annum, overtime, a pension scheme and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Candidates should have Level 3 technical apprenticeship, Level 2 City & Guilds, a valid UK driving licence and

Qualifications

Full UK driving licence.
Level 3 technical apprenticeship or equivalent.
Level 2 qualification (City & Guilds) or equivalent.
3+ years' apprenticeship experience in engineering workshop.
Experience with hydraulic equipment is advantageous.
Able to read engineering drawings.
Proficient with hand tools and workshop equipment.
Able to use precision measuring equipment.
Willingness to work in both workshop and on customer sites.

Responsibilities

Assess hydraulic equipment and identify repair requirements.
Maintain and service hydraulic systems and associated equipment.
Disassemble, inspect, report on and reassemble hydraulic equipment, including cylinders, valves, accumulators and components.
Assemble new hydraulic equipment, including hydraulic manifolds and HPUs.
Mobilise equipment and materials for site activities.
Produce accurate work and remedial reports.
Prepare basic parts lists and identify components for repairs.
Repair equipment using a range of hand tools.
Set up testing and flushing equipment safely.
Read and understand engineering drawings.
Provide accurate component recommendations and support repairs.
Record and report project activities using ERP system.
