Job summary
SLR Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project or Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join our Flood Risk and Water Environment team. You will work on high-profile UK projects, delivering hydraulic modelling from inception to completion across England and Scotland.
You will build and validate 1D/2D models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW, prepare robust reports, and contribute to the growth of our hydraulic modelling capability while collaborating with hydrologists, planners and regulators.
Qualifications
- Requires degree in Civil/Environmental discipline and chartership progress.
- Strong experience developing, operating and interrogating hydraulic models.
- Experience delivering FRAs in England/Scotland and liaising with regulators.
Responsibilities
- Deliver hydraulic modelling projects from inception to completion.
- Build, interrogate and self-check 1D/2D models using Flood Modeller and TUFLOW.
- Prepare technical reports and model documentation for senior review.
- Produce FRAs for developments and infrastructure projects.
- Site visits and catchment walkovers to inform models.
- Liaise with clients, regulators and stakeholders throughout delivery.
- Collaborate with hydrologists and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Support project planning, QA processes and capability growth.
