A respected consultancy in London seeks a Hydraulic Modeller for a long-term contract. You will work on diverse projects and utilize your expertise in hydraulic modelling tools like InfoWorks ICM and Flood Modeller Pro. Qualifications

Are you a Hydraulic Modeller looking for a contract role?

This role is a long-term contract, and you will be joining our clients expanding team.

This is a great opportunity to gain a valuable role in a will-respected consultancy and work on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Competency in Flood Modeller Pro, Flood Modeller Pro – TUFLOW linked models, ESTRY-TUFLOW linked models and HEC-RAS.
  • Skilled use of QGIS and ArcMap, and competency in MapInfo.
  • Interpreting results from hydraulic models and preparing technical reports.
  • Project management/client liaison and mentoring graduates.
  • Building complex hydraulic models in InfoWorks ICM.
  • Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and Strategic Flood Risk Assessments would also be an added advantage.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and water industry regulation
  • Working knowledge of GIS Systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Experience using FME, Optimatics, python (or similar)
  • Preferably degree qualified in a relevant technical subject.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership for Senior or Principal grades.
  • Affiliation with a professional institution like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
  • Ability to manage small to large projects/packages and programmes of works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
