An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hydraulic Fitter to join a world‑class engineering team, supporting the development and assembly of bespoke motion control and simulation equipment supplied globally. This role offers the chance to work on high‑value, low‑volume systems, contributing to advanced projects across aerospace, automotive, defence and industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing components, assembling system elements and maintaining quality standards, working within a highly skilled production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare component parts safely and accurately to required quality standards
  • Assemble parts into system elements using hand, power, and precision engineering tools
  • Handle components and assemblies safely in line with Health & Safety procedures
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, instructions, and specifications correctly
  • Identify and report non‑conformances using established quality processes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production goals
  • Follow work instructions, risk assessments and internal processes
  • Maintain 5S workplace cleanliness and contribute to continuous improvement activities
Experience & Skills Required
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proven mechanical assembly experience, ideally involving hydraulic systems
  • Minimum 2 years' assembly work in a precision, high‑value/low‑volume environment
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent engineering background preferred
  • Strong hand skills and assembly dexterity
  • Confident using hand tools, power tools and precision engineering equipment
