Qualifications

  • Experience as a Validations Officer in a local authority planning department.
  • Eligibility for membership of RTPI is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Validate and process various planning applications.
  • Maintain the Statutory Register and other planning records.
  • Provide accurate information and resolve customer queries.
  • Interpret and disseminate new legislation relating to development.

Skills

Good fundamental and technical knowledge
Understanding of planning regulations

Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or related discipline
