Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Security Penetration Tester to support Threat & Vulnerability Management across the organisation. You will run tests, identify vulnerabilities, and help implement remediation with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will hold relevant cyber security certifications, be comfortable with tools like Tenable and Burp Suite, and contribute to dashboards and threat assessments in a hybrid Reading-based role.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of manual penetration testing techniques and OS/tool proficiency.
• Experience remediating cyber risks in a complex enterprise environment.
• Ability to prepare detailed reports and present findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support internal penetration testing function and run network/app testing.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities with PoC testing.
• Maintain vulnerability management framework across the business.
• Develop penetration testing docs, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate cyber security patching with technology and business teams.
