Job summary

Leo Cancer Care in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Manager Global Systems Engineering to lead the development of architectures and oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role focuses on informing requirements, verification, and validation to ensure robust, compliant life-saving oncology systems.

You will guide integration across software, firmware, and hardware, document architectures, and mentor engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field.
• At least 10 years of engineering experience, with recent emphasis in systems engineering preferred.
• Experience developing and documenting system architectures and leading design teams using well-constructed architectural design principles.
• Model Based Systems Engineering experience is desirable.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow architectural design principles for products.
• Develop system architectures for products that efficiently support multi-disciplinary use cases.
• Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams to develop system solutions that balance complexity across each discipline while maximizing stakeholder value.
• Document system architectural solutions.
• Support the development of use cases, requirements, and verification & validation protocols.
• Review design documents, interface definitions, and safety-critical control logic for consistency with overall system requirements.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of embedded subsystems within the broader system architecture.
• Troubleshoot system issues during the development lifecycle and for systems deployed in the field.
• Formulate project execution strategies with project and institutional management for achieving the goals of development efforts in an efficient and effective manner.
• Manage one or more subsystems.
• Mentor design engineers to help develop systems-level understanding across the engineering organization.
