Longshot Systems is hiring a Sports Betting Trading Analyst to join our modelling team in London. You will provide domain expert insight to improve trading strategies and identify value leaks across existing and new markets.

Collaboration with engineers and ML experts will help translate ideas into actionable trading improvements. You’ll be comfortable with Python and Jupyter notebooks, enjoy working with data, and bring strong sports betting knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sports betting markets across a variety of different sports.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in data analysis in Python.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Strong communication in a predominately remote environment, especially written communication.
• Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and machine learning experts.

Responsibilities

• Analyse existing automated sports betting strategies and identify potential improvements.
• Collaborate with software developers and ML experts to optimise trading algorithms.
• Develop brand new trading strategies on new markets and sports.
• Perform data analysis on historical trading to support qualitative analysis.
• Conduct ongoing research on sports betting markets.
