Job summary

A leading technology manufacturer in Cambridgeshire is seeking a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer with strong skills in SolidWorks for a high-profile project. This hybrid role requires 3 days per week onsite and involves creating accurate 3D models and manufacturing drawings, focusing on plastic injection moulded and sheet metal components. Ideal candidates should possess experience in designing jigs and fixtures, along with the ability to reverse engineer parts. This position has an OUTSIDE IR35 determination, allowing for candidates to work through their own PSC.

Qualifications

• Confident using SolidWorks 2021 or later to produce accurate 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Skilled in designing plastic injection moulded and sheet metal components.
• Experience designing jigs and fixtures and ability to reverse engineer existing parts.
