Job summary

CGI Leeds is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and deliver high-quality software across modern technologies including .NET, Python, and TypeScript back-end services. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, applying engineering best practice and contributing to architecture decisions, code reviews, and ongoing evolution of key platforms.

You will own your work within an Agile environment, partner with experienced engineers, and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD

Qualifications

• Experience with modern development principles and Agile teams.
• Solid understanding of SOLID and clean architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Proficient in Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design & Develop: Build scalable, maintainable solutions with .NET, Python, or TypeScript back-end.
• Lead & Contribute: Shape architecture and design discussions for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate & Deliver: Work in Agile teams to plan, estimate, and deliver value.
• Automate & Optimise: Implement CI/CD pipelines and apply clean code and testing principles.
• Build & Evolve: Develop APIs, microservices, and web applications in cloud environments.
• Coach & Support: Mentor peers and share knowledge through code reviews.
