Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Service Product Manager to join the SDDA team within Transformation Services in Scarborough. You will lead product discovery through live phases, prioritise roadmaps, and collaborate with stakeholders to simplify and improve council digital services.

The role focuses on user-centric design, continuous product improvement, and delivering value to residents and staff within a hybrid work model, with potential NYC hub involvement.

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 3 standard (A-Level/HND/C) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of digital product management methodologies including user-centred design.
• Experience gathering requirements, UX analysis, user research, journey mapping, and change management.
• Experience matrix-managing multi-disciplinary delivery teams.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and deliver high-quality products.
• Experience prioritising, planning and delivering work in product environments using Agile.

Responsibilities

• Take products through discovery, alpha, beta and live phases.
• Devise and iterate product roadmaps and backlogs.
• Champion user needs and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across council and partners.
• Document product knowledge and demonstrations.
