Job summary

Taylor Root is working with an ambitious organisation to appoint an experienced Commercial Counsel to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice across commercial, procurement and contract matters.

The role involves drafting and negotiating high-value agreements, supporting infrastructure and development projects, and guiding governance, safety and compliance. Hybrid working (3 days home / 2 days onsite) on a permanent basis.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified lawyer with circa 4+ years’ PQE
• Strong commercial contracting and negotiation experience
• Commercially minded with pragmatic risk approach
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in infrastructure, energy, utilities, engineering, technology or regulated sectors advantageous

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on high-value commercial and procurement agreements
• Support strategic projects, supplier relationships and contract management
• Provide guidance on governance, health & safety, assurance and compliance matters
• Contribute to future infrastructure and development projects
