Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking an enthusiastic, values-driven Commissioning Support Officer to join the SEND Commissioning Team. You will work across commissioning projects from development through to implementation, collaborating with Commissioning Managers and Officers to deliver initiatives that improve outcomes for children and families.

The role blends project support, research and financial administration, with a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

Knowledge of the Council as a commissioner of services and the County Council Operating Model.
Experience monitoring budgets and financial transactions.
Ability to work with internal/external customers to deliver a quality service.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery and monitoring of commissioning projects and service developments.
Assist with research, consultation and engagement activities to understand needs of children, young people and families.
Contribute to ensuring services deliver outcomes within available resources and value for money.
Assist with monitoring commissioning budgets, processing invoices and financial administration.
Maintain information systems, databases and filing arrangements.
Organise meetings, workshops or events, including venue bookings and attendee management.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to support new initiatives and service improvements.
