Job summary

National Gas is seeking an ISS Installation Engineer to protect sites by delivering CCTV, access control and intruder detection across the UK. You will install, commission and support security technologies to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires hands-on field work with travel across the North East and other regions, a hybrid pattern, and a commitment to security standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and maintaining CCTV and automated access control systems.
• Knowledge of IP-based security networks and network configuration.
• Familiarity with BS EN standards and the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and commission CCTV and access control systems.
• Translate designs into high-quality installations meeting requirements.
• Provide infrastructure cabling, device installation and networked security solutions.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to keep systems reliable.
• Assess site readiness, power needs and installation requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams and security engineers for successful outcomes.
• Maintain asset, configuration and installation records.
