Job summary

DataCareers in the UK is seeking a senior Programme Lead to deliver a comprehensive Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) capability. You will work with data protection leadership to define strategy, governance and delivery across tooling, data quality and organisational adoption.

The postholder will assess proposed tooling against UK GDPR, lead procurement if needed, and ensure successful rollout across the organisation with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering GDPR, Data Protection or related information governance initiatives.
• Extensive experience implementing, managing or improving ROPA frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and accountability requirements.
• Demonstrated ability leading organisation-wide programmes with multiple functions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the delivery lead for ROPA implementation activities.
• Develop and maintain the ROPA delivery strategy, plan, milestones, dependencies and risk management approach.
• Coordinate delivery across Digital, Data, Data Protection, Security, Legal and business areas.
• Provide clear progress reporting to senior stakeholders, programme boards and governance forums.
• Identify, manage and elevate delivery risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ensure ROPA activity remains aligned with organisational priorities and data governance obligations.
